Nutrition Counseling

Create healthy, sustainable habits

Create a Healthy Relationship with Food

As someone who loves fries and ice cream, I know firsthand how temptations, stress, and bad habits can block us from achieving fitness and health goals. In other words, I can relate. As a Registered Dietitian (RD), I can help you navigate the temptations you face and help you optimize your nutritional intake (aka food). Whether you are dealing with food sensitivities, health conditions like diabetes or obesity, or want to figure out how to fuel better for your long runs, I can help you create a plan and stick to it.

Nutrition Counseling

Your body and microbiome are unique, so your nutritional plan should be too. Depending on your needs and circumstance, nutritional counseling services may include:

  • Food sensitivities history

  • Menu planning

  • Recipe suggestions

  • Supplements

Personalized Nutrigenomic Analysis

Nutrition science is rapidly evolving. Advances in DNA analysis are providing new tools to personalize nutrition guidance right down to your DNA. If you’ve had your DNA analyzed by 23&Me or Ancestry.com, I can offer you a free personal nutrigenomics report from Pure Genomics. This report can give you personalized nutrition and lifestyle guidance that can help guide our work together.

My Qualifications

Did you know the title “nutritionist” is wholly unregulated? Anyone, even my cat, can claim to be a nutritionist (he talks a good talk, but don’t believe a word he says). My title of registered dietitian is backed by a college education, professional internship, national certification, and state licensure. All of that also allows me to accept insurance in many cases.

In addition to being a Registered Dietitian, I am nationally board-certified as a health coach (NBC-HWC). When I’m not working, cooking, hanging with my partner and my pets, you’ll usually find me at the gym or on the trails of Kansas City.

Get Started with a Free Consultation

If you think nutrition counseling might be right for you, I offer a free initial consultation. It’s a thirty-minute call or video conference where we can get to know each other a bit, and I can answer any questions you have about whether my services are the right fit for you.
